Yet another tribute to Massimo Moratti comes from a player who didn’t have his best years at Inter. We are talking about Andrea Pirlo who in his book Penso quindi gioco (I think, therefore I play) describes the Inter president like this: “He is a very good person, exactly as he is on television. A family man, a gentleman taken out of context, a piece of bread in a world of sharks… To have presidents like him.”
Pirlo will also writes about the tense relationship with Marco Tardelli who coached Inter season 2000/01: “I felt bad, I suffered. Lots of times I wanted to say to him, ‘Do you know where you can put the scream that made you famous?'”
