Defender Juan Jesus spoke to several TV channels after the game, starting with Sky.
“We did everything to win this game, and I feel bad.”
Is it only bad luck?
“Now we have two more games we will try and win them. I always try to do my best, but this season has gone like this. Let’s hope the next season will be better. Unfortunately I have made some mistakes, but I think it is normal. It is my first year in serie A. I still have a lot to learn because I am young”, finishes the Brazilian to Sky. Since he picked up a yellow card in the game he will not be available at Genoa.
Jesus had a brief chat with Rai as well after the game. Inter keeps losing but neither the players nor the coach have any regrets. Jesus tries to explain why to Rai:
“We did everything we could to win this game but we lost. We did everything to win, I always want to win. My team did well though, we played well but lost.”
The disappointed Brazilian was also stopped by Mediaset Premium after the game and once again he conveyed his dismay at the loss and the fact that this is his first season at Inter.
“I hope next year goes better. There are two more games that we need to try and win and then think about next season that I hope is different than this one. We always talk in the team, we all want to win. I try to become better every day but unfortunately this season has gone like this.”
It is obvious that Jesus is bothered by the bad season and he underlines several times how bad he feels about how things are.
“I am very sorry I don’t know why things have gone so bad. The physical dip during games? I don’t know I always work out with 1000% effort, I try to always give my all in practice.”
Lastly the young defender spoke with Inter Channel where he made sure to point out that he has confidence in his teammates and that they did their best.
“I am sorry for Alvarez because he slipped, but I do hope next year will be different. Sunday will be difficult because then neither I nor Pereira will be there, but Mister will put a strong team on the pitch and whoever is able to do it well will play. It is important for Pasa and Benassi to gain experience, they have great careers in front of them and I wish them a lot of good luck”.
Inter won’t be playing in Europe next season.
“We are Inter so obviously we feel bad, we started the season with the Europa League. It’s a shame. Jonathan? I called him, he is fine we’ll see in the next few days how it will go.”
