Inter continue to dream about Samuel Eto’o. From Russia, however, there are conflicting reports on the future of Re Leone. According to Russian NTV, the meeting between the Cameroonian striker and club sponsor Suleyman Kerimov has resulted in something quite different than what has been reported in recent days. The former Inter striker have supposedly instead received financial guarantees to stay another year in Anzi Makhachkala and his current salary of 10 million net will not be affected. These new reports means that a return to Inter or a reunion with José Mourinho at Chelsea will be less likely this summer.
It should be added that Eto’os contract expires in 2014 and everything depends now on whether President Kerimov wants to risk being forced to release the player for free in one year after having made such a big investment in terms of the player’s salary. The last word is not yet said in this story and according to SportMediaset, Inter are prepared to offer Samuel Eto’o a two-year contract worth 4.5 million euros per season, with an option for a third year, and generous bonuses to get him to return to Milan. All this depends on what Kerimov and Mourinho wants.
