Last night Gaby Mudingayi talked to Inter Channel ahead of tonight’s match against Torino. Mudingayi has been selected to the squad and has also played for Torino in the past.

From Torino Torino, dual memories from Mudingayi’s career because that was where you got the chance to start a great career and it was also where you played your last match, when you were injured.

“It is true that the last game I played in Serie A from the first minute was against Torino and in that game I was injured. Therefore it is not a great memory but I have to say that I liked it really well in Turin where I was during one and a half years. It was important because I learned to love the Italian football. We had a young team, a team that was hungry, so we were fighting for Serie A, then I left.”

What kind of team is Torino today?

“I’ve seen the games, they play well, they have a coach that is good. They have a good team, but we have a very strong team so we have to go there and play our game.”

After the international break, is it true that you are working fifteen days , but only a few of these to prepare for the game?

“It is true, as there are many players who leave to play with their national teams and when this happens you must quickly return to work and immediately think that the match on Sunday will be a tough game. However, the guys who have been away have come back immediately with the right mindset and knowing that Sunday’s game will be difficult and that we have to go there and play a good match.”

How is Mudingayi doing? In the friendly against Locarno you looked good.

“I work a lot and when I can I do it even after training sessions to be available much sooner. Here you have to work every day and show that you want to do something, I try to do it and I hope to have the opportunity to help the team as it is nice to be able to help your teammates. For me it is important to work , work and work.”

Do you feel that the club has confidence in you?

Yes, I feel a lot of confidence and that is what gives me the conviction every day. Inter bought me from Bologna where I was injured, then I also feel the confidence from my teammates and the coach as well. For that reason, I always give my all, even in training, and even though I know I’ll play ten minutes I always give my all because it is a great pleasure for me to be here.”
