Tuttosport journalist Stefano Pasquino reports that everything is pointing to the direction that Walter Mazzarri will extend his contract with Inter.
Mazzarri’s current deal is set to expire in June 2015 but Pasquino reports that talks will be held this coming January to extend his contract by 12 months and where he will earn 3,8 million Euro’s per season plus bonuses. It’s important to note the date when Mazzarri’s new contract is set to expire as Erick Thohir has stated that his goal is that Inter will play in the 2016 Champions League final set to be held at the San Siro. Mazzarri can therefore be considered to be the man who will lead this project where he has received a clear message as to what is expected of him.
