Esteban Cambiasso was interviewed by Italian Sky Sport after the final whistle between Inter and Sampdoria which ended 1-1 in front of amongst others, Erick Thohir.

“We almost had the win in our hands, a little bit like the match against Torino. We became more tired than in other matches, compliments to renan for finding the corner there. If we are lacking in maturity? These things happen, this is football. We have to be more clever in order to avoid certain things in the future.”

A few moments later he spoke to Premium Calcio and continued his anlysis: “We didn’t play as well as we have done in the past, we had the win almost in our hands but in football ‘almost’ doesn’t count for anything. They managed to score a beautiful equalizer and we’ll go home with two points fewer. You hold parties in May, not in November and December. It would have been a nice moment what with so many former players and with Thohir in the stands, but even if we would have won it wouldn’t have been a party. Parties are comething else”

“Second half? We spent a lot of energy, they were losing so therefore they tried to do something more up front and in the end they managed to get the equalizer” Cambiasso concludes.
