After his side’s 0-1 win against Manchester City on Monday night, Jose Mourinho took the time to reminisce about his days at Inter.
He quickly recalled the Nerazzuri’s historical Champions League semifinal victory over Barcelona in May 2010, which saw the Nerazzuri advance to the final and win the competition.
“It’s the most beautiful game in the last 50 years, we won the first leg 3-1 but it could’ve ended with four or five goals. We knew that we had to play the first game at home, and the second game would be very difficult. We knew we had no chance if we didn’t win at San Siro” he claimed.
And in typical Mourinho fashion he described the return leg at the Camp Nou with “when you’re up 3-1 and forced to play with 10 men, you put the airplane in front of the goal.”

Lol greatest game? Those two matches were the most disgraceful matches of ur career. If anyone even watch those two matches, they can recall militos offside goal in the first leg plus muntari foul on dani alves inside the box in the 2nd leg(clear penalty) plus a legitimate goal by bojan which was ruled handball on keita (inconclusive)
LOL.. no. Inter played incredibly in the first leg and deserved the win. What they didn’t deserve was the unfair red card given for a blatant flop by Busquets.
Grande Mou the Only One,i always remember those 2 matches,especially second leg in nou camp,despite of a unique strategy -we called it parking bus strategy- ,that critized by many people,i dont card as long as inter win and through to final,honestly i admitted that we play defensive,but at one point,that’s what we call strategy,force a winning in home and the rest will follow,a smart strategy,mou,if only there is a human-copier machine,absolutely we will make a thousand mourinho :)..thanks,mou,you always in our heart,miss you,mou
The most great of those 2 matchs with Barca was that, after we qualify to the finale,
the feeling that we would win Bayern was very high and sure.
Bus parking isnt something to laugh. It requires so much concentration and discipline from the players, latest example is how chelsea win against city in epl, its not a lame strategy, if your team cant do it well its a disaster.
It is indeed memorable. And I remember Zlatan move to Barca just for Cl. But sorry to say Zlatan, even mountains were explode just to give Inter its destiny.
Wow, grande Mourinho! I still miss that Inter who had full of desire to win, full of joy, full of quality stars. The return leg match was in the favor of Barca, but we won as a result of 2 matches. Bisquets and Alves were acting like crying women, losers and cheaters, but Inter players, especially Thiago Motta were all played professionally and as real men. FORZA INTER! I hope one day Jose will come to Inter again and achieve a new glory with us.
