Tomorrow, expectations will be high on Inter to get their first win of the year against newly-promoted Sassuolo. It will also be the first game in the Inter shirt for Hernanes. FcInterNews were given the opportunity to discuss this and many other things in an exclusive interview with Inter’s team manager, Ivan Cordoba:
When will Inter rise from this tough period?
“We all hope that it will happen soon and the players work hard together with Mazzarri to make it happen. It is a rough patch, but thanks to the experience from those who have gone through similar periods in the past, we can all contribute to improve our situation”.
What can Hernanes add to this Inter?
“He is a player who has always impressed me. He controls the ball with ease with both his right and his left foot, it doesn’t seem to matter to him which foot he uses. It is very special and important to the team: the trademark of a modern footballer. I think that for us and for Mazzarri it is very helpful to have a player like this, he gives us something that we didn’t have in the team before. He gives us more quality and the possibility for Mazzarri to experiment with new ways to play”.
Kovacic, Taider and Icardi are young players who are all experiencing difficulties. How should the situation be managed?
“I have talked to them a lot and from outside, the supporters’ opinion seems to be that they should already be very experienced. The truth is that they are young players that Inter are counting on both now, but also in the future. They need to improve, make mistakes and slowly they will work on all the details of their game to become famous top players and leaders of this team”.

Wise words from Ivan C, a true Inter champion. Nice to know that he is working around the team, and especially around the youngsters. Forza Inter
i know what most people will say,
“mistakes?? learn slowly?? no way, ivan, they HAVE to be ready, they HAVE to be perfect, if they make mistakes, then SELL THEM, they’re not good enough for inter, all our players are shite (even though we were showering them praises months ago when we’re playing good) we need star players in EVERY position, forget the wages, forget the high price tag, it’s not our problem, it’s thohir’s problem, mazzarri needs to be fired!! bring back stramaccioni!!! if he fails, hire mazzarri back!! AAAAAAARRRRGGHHH!!!”
