Roma right back Douglas Maicon has been diagnosed with a first degree thigh strain, which will see him out of a action for about 10 days. That means that he will miss AS Romas Saturday fixture away against Bologna and he will probably miss the game against his former team Inter as well.
Maicon limped off the pitch during Romas 3-0 win against Sampdoria and today the club released a statement confirming that Maicon has suffered from a first degree thigh strain.

I would have loved to hold on to Maicon. His goals for inter and brazil show he clearly has a level of quality above any winger we have used since. He was great at playing with the ball at pace and making smart runs. I’m not even sure I have seen Jonathan do anything besides get the ball, decide that he can’t take on a defender, and then roll the ball to campagnaro or guarin.
1st degree of respect and not wanting to play good against his former club 🙂
Yeah,d ambrossio is mych better than jonathan..maicon missed the first encounter as well..it is like god does not want to see maicon as an inter opponent..i love this guy..a true champion..i ll never forget his goal against juventus..
Good news.
I wonder why Inter sell Maicon, yeah i know wage right? But i mean, Maicon and Jonathan…??? Cannot even compare them.
You are right, Maicon is not comparable to loser-Jonathan. I hope D’Ambrosio will seal his spot in starting XI and Jonathan to be kicked out of Inter this summer.
