Daily Mail reports that Chelsea is prepared to table £ 40 million in order to sign Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa this summer.
During the past few weeks rumors have ben circulating which state that Fernando Torres could be included into the deal, the former Liverpool man has publicly been declared to be a target in the summer by Inter President Erick Thohir. The Daily Mail reports however that Diego Simeone’s club has declared not to be interested in bringing their former striker back and have decided to pursue younger options. This could open the path for Inter to sign the former Liverpool and Ateltico Madrid striker who has seen the majority of his time with Chelsea from the stands due to injury and poor form.
Torres was finished before he signed on for Chelsea, and now he’s even worse. How will he perform against italian defenders? How is his hunger?
He has won everything already.
Add his high age, high salary and the fact that he won’t come cheap and you can draw the conclusion it’s a bad choise.
The only thing about positive him is his name and it’s marketing value in Asia. But that doesn’t outweigh the disadvantages of buying Torres.
Guys guys C’mon!! I agree with you about renew in the squad, but Torres is not finished yet, believe me .. He has a lot to give .. at the end, Torres is 30y old, we have Palacio 32-33y old .. I personally think, if he comes he will explode at Inter .. we need strong player like him in attack, that can keep the ball, otherwise he is fast & technical .. I would love to see him in Inter ..

No Torres please! We don’t need a striker in poor form nor injured. Not again. Why do we buy injured players in poor form ? For god’s sake. We just need a striker like Edin Dzeko or someone else right now that can pay off our investements soon. Torres will need a lot of time maybe to be at his 100% form and we can’t wait him so long. We need fresh and ready players for the new season. FORZA INTER!
