Walter Samuel told ESPN today that he intends to play for at least one more season and after that maybe start a carrier as a coach. Samuel said, “I will play on for at least another year.” Will I stay in Europe? “I have spoken to my family and I’m just interested in playing, it really doesn’t matter where. But first I need to talk to Inter and tell them what I think and listen to their position before deciding on anything. I know how I feel and I know that I can play for at least one more season at a pretty good level.”

For his post playing carrier Samuel has some clear ideas on what he wants to do once he hangs up his boots. “At the moment I still have the mentality of a player, but I definitely like to be a coach one day. At one time I said that I wouldn’t want to, but now I want to give it a go. I will try to take something from each coach that I’ve worked with. I would like to start with youngsters to see how I get on.”
