At the end of the unlucky quarterfinal in Copa Libertadores, Cruzeiro’s central midfielder Nilton, who according to the latest rumors is blocked by Inter, spoke with journalists. The first words concern the game that has meant elimination: “Sleeping is impossible. It’s frustrating to experience this feeling and say goodbye to the Copa, especially since we all worked so hard. I fell asleep at 5 in the morning. Last year we were eliminated from the Copa and it hurt the same. The future? Speculations are normal, these things happen. Brazilian football is watched by everyone. I’ll try to stay focused on my work. I’ll still give my all in training and in matches. When it comes to the contracts my agent handles that, so there are speculations. At the moment nothing has arrived to me from Inter. I have been working together with Wagner Ribeiro for eleven years and he hasn’t told me anything about it. If I leave I hope it is a beneficial thing for me and for Cruzeiro. I, however, still have a year and a half left of the contract and I hope to fulfill my contract with Cruzeiro.”

Words from the player that, along with the leadership of Cruzeiro and with the same Wagner Ribeiro (more open, however, in his statements), are closing. In reality, however, Inter has moved forward with Nilton and has already found an agreement to take him to Milan. The real problem is that this is not enough to make the move to Milan official, as the Nerazzurri has not yet decided whether to withdraw from the Cruzeiro midfielder or change strategies (depending on the fate of Cambiasso). Therefore, after the openings by the Brazilian club, the individual concerned and his entourage, it would be an own goal by Inter not to conclude the deal.
