Speaking to Inter Channel, Nerazzurri coach Walter Mazzarri is keen to greet fans and talk about what will happen in the next season: “I take this opportunity to greet all of our fans, I’m happy to get energized and start the new year, we hope, at best. The holidays? I’ve managed to get some of the sun, but it was a summer in which I had to do many other things. The World Cup? I thought I needed a break from football. I tried to isolate myself a little in order to return with energy. I have missed it almost completely, although it is obvious that I saw a few rounds of the World Cup. An important season? That’s for sure, the club was very clear. We had a great line in the dialogues held this summer. This gave me even more stimuli than those I finished the previous year. Renewal? This makes me very happy, it gives me even more strength and more energy. Having the confidence of our fans is important to me. All the positive components in order to start this year with great optimism are there.”

I can`t understand how a man his job is football , and then missing the most important football tournament that is repeated only every 4 years .

1) His job was to evaluete everyone last year and he did! He gave everyone with a little quality the chance to shine, either in the beginning of the season or in the end!
2)his job was also to give the team (who fineshed 9th the year before and which was in a total mess) a still of play – and he did! He played 3-5-2/ 3-6-1 all year and next year there are talks about going 4-3-3!
3) His job was also to help the youngsters to grow, which he did – Icardi, Kovacic and Juan Jesus all played great last year!
4) Finally his job was also to qualify for Europe which he did! – all of this in a kaotic season where Thohir bought the club and started making a lot of changes!
