Inter tries to close for Gary Medel. The Nerazzurri already have an agreement in principle with the player for a five-year contract for € 1.8 million per season. Missing is the yes from Cardiff that is asking for at least 10 million, having paid 13 last summer (he is the most expensive purchase in the history of Welsh club). The offer is still 7 million, Inter is waiting because they know that they are strong in the negotiation. There is still optimism for the closing of the deal.

just a suggestion for sempreinter, how about making it harder to write a comment?? make only sempreinter member can write a comment.. this to prevent other teams fans trolling sempreinter.. this is an inter fanpage and I think interfans should have more privacy.. this cardiff fans are speaking politely which is I dont mind with them sharing their thought.. but in other article I found out totenham and jube’s fans insulting with harsh word.. this is sempreinter, not goal.com where all fans can freely trolling and insulting each other.. just a suggestion tho, and sorry for my bad english
Danny thank your for knowing The history of Cardiff, but it is still the prerogative of Cardiff to sell,if Inter do not have the money they should not make the bid, and in our football we agree the price with the club then talk to the player, it seems Inter see they have agreed a deal with the player but not a price with the club. If Inter turn up at a Ferrari dealer and offer the price of a fiat ha ha no deal. As I said Cardiff do not need to sell, he is under a long term contract.
I agree with you, if a club wants a certain amount of money for a player they should be offered that amount or nothing. However, everybody knows that it doesn’t work like that in today’s football. It’s not like Inter is the first team to make an offer that is lower than the asking price for another clubs player. Besides, the article is based on a report from Sky Sport about the transfer market. It doesn’t say anything about what’s going to happen, only what information Sky Sport has gathered about Inter’s view of the deal. Sky Sport in Italy is perhaps the most reliable source when it comes to football transfers, unlike the British newspapers, since they have the best experts. We’ll see what happens, I guess none of us will be asked.
Good move!
Two things I need to point out.1 Cardiff do not need money, they have enough to not need to sell Medel at a big loss, so how are Inter hopefull, when they offer less than Cardiff ask.2 Do some research Cardiff play in the English league but are a Welsh club, under the control of the Football association of Wales
1. They are hopeful because the will of the player usually is a big factor in situations like these. Having a player that doesn’t want to be at the club is never good. Sending him to play for the reserves is never good either because by doing that you definitely will lose money when you eventually sell the player. We’ll see how it turns out.
2. My bad, I should have been more critical when I translated the article from fcinternews.it. I’m of course aware of the fact that Cardiff is a Welsh club.
How the hell are Inter in a good position Cardiff do not have to sell, Medel is under a long contract, and no matter what the player wants or has agreed with Inter, it is Cardiff that has to agree, if Inter don’t stop trying to get Medel on the cheap, Cardiffs owner will tell them to take a hike, he has the money behind him to do that, even playing Medel in the Cardiff reserve team if he does not play as he should play as a player under contract. Wishfull thinking mind games by Inter.
