No longer needed in the position of team manager, Inter’s Ivan Cordoba faces a difficult decision over his future. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the former Colombian international has turned down the opportunity to serve as a deputy in the Nerazzurri’s youth programme. Cordoba is tied to the club for another year but unless he can find a suitable role he could leave to search for a better situation.

No this wasn’t one of those decisions. Financial problems happened w the 2010+ salaries. He had a desk job and was a loyal interista. You don’t show a bandiera the door… what are we Milan w maldini? Come on man, They offered him different position, and cordoba didn’t want it, what can they say? I love cordoba, but this is a professional club! And in cambiasso case, we need to move on, his wages would kill us if we extend his contract, unless he accept to reduce it significantly. Also he couldn’t play all season long, he is 34 yo! And fyi I love him! I believe we can use him as a sub in this season, but it is a good decision also from my point of view to not extend his contract!

What do you mean? If WM doesnt need him as team Manager then why keep him as such. Those were the kind of romantic decision that led inter to financial problems. New management doesnt need him, they offered him another position but he doesnt want it. So, give him a paycheck and send him home.
