Interviewed by Roberto Scarpini for Inter Channel, the Inter coach Walter Mazzarri talked about this Guinness International Cup, which started in the best way with the victory – albeit on penalties – against the European champions Real Madrid. After that he  analyzed the difficult match against Manchester United’s Louis Van Gaal, whose working methods, like WM admitted, are already known. He concluded by talking about the possibility of relying also on turnover, an aspect on which the Tuscan coach preferred not to say too much.

REAL MADRID – “Revisiting the game I have to say I was even more happy and satisfied. The team was able to suffer and wanted the result until the end, including during the penalties. I’m very happy and I talked with the guys. Such performances are further injections of confidence that give us the strength and conviction both for the next games here in the States and for the start of the championship.”

MANCHESTER UNITED – “At this time the Red Devils look like an unbeatable team. They won the first game 7-0, then against Roma they got their result easily enough, despite the return of the Giallorossi. It will be a good test. We’re going out there to play, then will analyze what was successful.”

TURNOVER – “If I will change something? I’ll talk to the players who was on the pitch against Real Madrid, but I don’t think there will be problems: they are used to playing with continuity.”

LOUIS VAN GAAL- “I know him, I like his methods of play. We must think about that we are facing a team like United. We will prepare particularly at the tactical level, then I will choose the formation.”
