We have known that Saphir Taïder would be involved in the deal for Osvaldo for a while and today this has been confirmed by both Inter’s and Southampton’s official webistes. A few minutes ago saintsfc.co.uk released the followning statement:
“Southampton Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Algerian midfielder Saphir Taïder from Internazionale. It’s part of our philosophy for the club to bring in talented young players who like to learn and develop themselves, and that’s true of Saphir 22-year-old Taïder joins on a season-long loan from the Italian outfit, with Dani Osvaldo moving in the opposite direction on the same basis.”
