Is honorary-president Massimo Moratti planning to leave Inter? Yes, at least according to a report in today’s Gazzetta dello Sport. This due to discomfort in the secondary role and differences of vision with the current president, but also a realization that the ‘Inter style’, so dear to him, has gone lost. Self-criticism might also be a cause for Moratti to resign from his post. Because he was the first to know the company required a new structure, management and to open up to become a brand-name abroad. Inter failed to take advantage of the Treble Effect. In 2010, Inter won everything, but has not been able to ride that wave long enough, not only on the field, but also with levels of popularity, marketing and merchandising. Moratti might also regret not giving the right space to Piero Ausilio during his years. Ausilio remained for long in the shadows of Marco Branca until the arrival of Thohir and then proved especially skilled on the transfer market.

Stop defending Moratti, he was a terrible owner!!! Hectic manager sackings, changing more than 50% of a squad every season… that is not how great clubs are managed! The only thing he had going for him was his love for the club, but loving the club doesn’t mean you will manage the club in the right way.
And I am really glad if he doesn’t agree with Thohir’s plans for Inter’s future, that means the club is no the right track!
I agree with oneal,Moratti’ s crucial mistake is emotoonally relations with players,Berlusconi sold Shevcenko and Kaka when thy are be on top of carrier ,for (both) 130-140 millions euro. When we won treble for Milito,Sneijder and Maicon we have offers around 120 millions. For that money we must buy young 6-8 players for around 15-20 millions or 5 for 25,and we?llbe competitive with other european clubs….we didn’ t do that ,and now are we here , where we are…Massimo Moratti had a dream ,he won Champions league, and proved to everyone that it is not a loser…and for him 22.5.2010. the story for him was over…
+1
Grazie Presidente
”Moratti might also regret not giving the right space to Piero Ausilio during his years. Ausilio remained for long in the shadows of Marco Branca until the arrival of Thohir…” I’d go on to say that giving Branca an open ended contract was one of his biggest mistakes….even the curva displayed banners mocking Moratti for his error in judgment when we had to pay 3 million to terminate Branca’s contract. (With all due respect and gratitutde to the great president and fan Presidente Moratti)
Moratti was one of Very Respectful Legendary Inter President, but “unfortunately” the football world has changed by time.
I did not see that there are significant differences on their vision, due to many statement in many occasions spoken by both Moratti and Current President related with it. Hence, Self Criticism (the fact that Moratti lost the very valuable opportunity time right after 2010 treble in particular, and also things related with “The right man on the right place” in his management structure) might be the main cause or the main reason If Moratti leave Inter….. Forza Internazionale….
Moratti did not think as a business man, he was like us, a big fan of Inter. Maybe with the leave of Moratti we can get another share holder and manage to put the club in a higher position with more income, and probably pay the debt lol. Forza Inter! Forza Moratti!
Definitely agree…..
I also agree
So what you want is another sugar-dady to run the club bank-robed just like Moratti (almost) did!??
