Marta Carissimi,  a 27-year old midfielder who played for Inter femminile (Inter’s women’s team ed.). Now she is playing for Stjarnan and in today’s La Gazzetta dello Sport she talked about the match between Inter and the Icelandic team in next weeks Europa League playoffs: “Here in Iceland, after the draw, euphoria exploded. For Stjarnan, that is making it’s debut in Europe, an Italian challenge is a dream come true. Laugardalsvöllu, the stadium in Reykjavik, has 10,000 seats and on August 20 it will be sold out. On this occasion the white and blue will represent the entire country and there will also be opposing fans there to support the team. Stjarnan it is a young team, but tactically well organized. The best weapons are the competitive spirit and the enthusiasm. Watch out for Veigar Gunnarsson, the attacker with the best quality and experience.” Marta, a fresh graduate in Engineering Management, is in Iceland “to learn about another culture, learn English well and confront a different kind of football, more physical than the Italian. I am doing really well: the people are great and the landscapes are beautiful.”
