Piero Ausilio is not only focussing on January, this morning’s Corriere dello Sport lists some names which are under consideration for the summer mercato. For a Rolando return and purchases of Zappacosta and Darmian much will depend on the future of Mazzarri. For the attack two out of favour Arsenal strikers are on Inter’s radar. Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski have found minutes difficult to come by at the Emirates this season. Campbell’s agent is working to find him a loan move but with an expiring contract in 2016 this move looks unlikely.

You are right, if we are to be left with the same coach, we might as well buy the most inconsistent forward in european football today in Podolski. That will definitely complete the despair puzzle
Both Zappa and Darmain are fine right footed wingbacks and look very interesting! BUT we have LOADS of right footed right backs all ready; Naga, Johnny, D’ambrosio and Mbaye – don’t we need someone for the left? Of cause selling Naga and letting Johhny’s contract run out in the summer (I think it is exparing 2015) could make room for them…
Inter should get 1-2 quality players for a reasonable & respectable fee, just like we did when we got Kovacic, Icardi and Palacio just as Nima, Ben & Sia said in the latest episode of the podcast. Players who we know will produce and not act like Milan and get all transfers on bosman, loan & loan with options. We do already have a couple of those at the moment like Kuzmanovic & M’vila, those type of transfers are fine as long as those are meant to be for being a squad player who we can use for rotation.
For reaching those top positions in the table, we need to get top players. Look at the smart purchases Juventus did with Tevez & Asamoah, Roma with Gervinho and even Lazio did great when they got a elder & slower Klose but quality is quality even without considering age.
If we get some top players on loan, bosman and loan with option then fine, but very few of our transfers of those types have been productive so far. Rolando might have been the only exception last season, Vidic perhaps this year if we would have had a decent coach. Specially Cambiasso once when he came from Real Madrid, missing him so… 🙁
Well, Dodo is on loan and doing well, Osvaldo has been great! – and is on loan, and I like the so-strong Mvila a lot, and he’s a loany aswell!
To get quality you need money – something Inter doesn’t have, and to get a player like Kova we needed to sell (Coutinho) and today the club doesn’t want to sell up so…
We actually bought Dodo, don’t ask me why it was masked as a loan but it might have been done for the finances (taxes and such things) and the FFP for UEFA.
The deal was that if Dodo played one official game for us, then we would purchase him for a sum around 7-8 million euro I think it was. As the has played more than one official game for us, we currently own Dodo.
As for Osvaldo he has done great during his time here so far, but just with Pazzini the start in Inter was quite productive but not much afterwards. M’vila I like as well as you, I do hope to see him more regularly on the pitch and that Mazzarri or whoever will manage Inter is able to field more often and do that well with the other midfielders.
oh I didn’t know that about Dodo – and great news by the way! He is a future star, no doubt! Are you Swedish by the way?
I’d love to see darmian in inter this january. He’s perfect for WM scheme (if he end up stay)
