The Brooks Brothers and Inter came together today as four Nerazzurri stars were in attendance at the store in Via San Pietro all’Orto, Milan.
One of them, Mateo Kovacic, made use of the occasion to say a few words to the press on the recent Roma match, his future, new boss Roberto Mancini and Sunday’s clash with Udinese. “It was a tough match on Sunday – Roma are a strong team. We scored twice, but it wasn’t enough. However, the players realised straight away that Mancini is a champion. He makes us work hard, but it’s more enjoyable on the pitch. The first thing he said was: ‘We are Inter’,” began the Nerazzurri midfielder.
Kovacic went on to talk about his own future: “We’re still talking and I have a contract until 2017. Things are going well and I’m happy. I’m already at a big club. I’m still young, and I can learn a lot from Mancini. I like the fact that the fans have high expectations of me. We need to play as a team to return to the top. We have a new project now, and you can’t build a team in six months, it could take two or three years.”
Finally, the Croatian gave his view on this coming Sunday’s match: “I’m going to see Stankovic and Stramaccioni again on Sunday, so that will be a great feeling. Both helped me a lot: Stramaccioni brought me to Italy and I speak to Stankovic very often.”

Bla! He did so in his first 3-4 months at Inter where no one knew who he was and how important it is to stop him – now they know!
And really he was running around like a headless chicken with the ball, not knowing what to do with it, where to pass it and what the coaches idea of the team was – so he just ran with it himself!
Mancini, being a great trequartista himself, will help to build him 😉
i prefer Kovacic last season and the beginning of this season (best version yet lol) where he give more assist and goals than he was back then, it’s just that serie A defender nowadays focus more on him that he can’t do that dribble past players thing so often now, if you aware Milan and Roma’s players in those last 2 matches gave so much pressure on this boy
