The last few weeks have been quite a rollercoaster ride for the nerazzurri fans. Out went coach Walter Mazzarri who struggled in Milan and never managed to bond with the fans or the ambience. And in came Roberto Mancini, a comeback that nobody dared to dream of and I for one struggle to believe it is true even today. Mancini who has won titles at Inter, who had one of the best playing Inter teams I can remember but also known not to work on a low budget. Talk about a strong signal by Erick Thohir. His first games have been tough, the derby and then the game against Roma. And tonight his team faces off former Inter coach (there are a few former Inter coaches in the league this year) Andrea Stramaccioni and Dejan Stankovic’s Udinese. And if nobody expected three points in the last two games, the pressure is on now.

As far as returns go, last week I appreciated the gesture from Maicon where he applauded the CN69. But I didn’t really feel anything when seeing him play in another shirt. Seeing Deki come back to the Meazza with another team will be like a punch in the gut though. Deki, il Drago, the dynamic leader in midfield who scored beautiful goals and never backed down. A player that we never replaced but that we sorely need. God how I miss him. 10 years: 326 games, 42 goals and 15 trophies with Inter. A winner and a warrior. Thank you for everything Deki. But I hope you go back to Friuli with a loss tonight. Forza Inter.
