Inter are working to give the coach Roberto Mancini the ideal players to improve a squad that has shortages in some departments, One of these is still the central midfield role. The name that seems more in fashion is that of Lucas Pezzini Leiva, the Liverpool midfielder born in 1987,  that the coach has appreciated for quite some time.

During the press conference  ahead of the match against Lazio, Mancio stressed that it may be right for the Inter players who are struggling to find space elsewhere, and the identikit – besides Alessio Cerci for this role – fits the player from Dourados. The sporting director Piero Ausilio has had contacts with the entourage of the Brazilian (who has an Italian passport) and has been met with acceptance. According to Tuttosport a deal seems likely for now, considering that the Reds would be open the possibility of a loan.
