On his website, sports journalist Alfredo Pedulla analyzes Milan’s negotiation with Atletico Madrid to acquire Alessio Cerci.
”The Rossoneri acted in the shadows by focusing on one thing: the will of Atletico to welcome back Fernando Torres on a long loan deal that would eliminate any misunderstanding. Milan acted quickly as they did last summer when they signed Giacomo Bonaventura. It happened more or less in one night. As for Inter, they do not have a player in hand to offer in exchange for Cerci. Therefore, they relied on the desire of the ex-Torino man.”

I will never understand why Atletico would want Torres back. I guess it’s a golden rule that emotions make you do irrational things occasionally.
Well to be honest I think that Atl Madrid always wanted to get Torres back for a comeback even though he now is not the player he once were, the only deal Inter could have offered without money involved even close to tipping over the weight over for Inters favour were perhaps Icardi or someone else important player for swapping with Cerci.
Now Torres will get to do a comeback in Atl Madrid and probably it won’t be a success but making the fans glad, Cerci will probably do quite good but we will see what happens.
