Lothar Matthaus, the former Inter player spoke to the German newspaper Hamburger Morgenpost about the possibility of Podolski coming to Inter, here are his words:
“It’s all just rumors, one doesn’t need to think about them, anyone could follow Podolski now, but then Inter and Podolski could fit just perfect because of the success of many German players at Inter in the past, it would be an advantage to reconnect with the past.”
“It hurts me to see where Inter is now, they have become a mediocre club, so Podolski would join a mediocre club, but certainly Inter g=have more economic opportunities than many of the other teams in Italy, Podolski wants to play as he is not playing much, but he is an Arsenal player and his contract should be respected.”
