The star of the first episode of 2015’s ‘Inter Nos’ on Inter Channel, is the Inter coach Roberto Mancini answering questions of the fans via Twitter. Here is the texts of the coach:

Next game?

“Juve-Inter is a classic, it’s normal to be watched. Juve is the first and has won the last three league titles, but anything can happen.”

What do you think of Podolski?

“If we go back in history, Germans have done very well at Inter. If he arrived it would be a good piece of business. As a player I know him, he can play in many roles very well, he is a world champion. Played at Bayern and Arsenal, has great experience and quality, we hope that things will improve, I would not want to be as many forces in Europe that did not spend and ended in a recession.”

Thought about yourself if not a footballer?

“I always wanted to become a player since childhood. When I was in school I was also interested in Carpentry, my father’s job, I might have done better in that job (laughs).”

Space for the youngsters?

“Off course, look at Bonazzoli, he has quality but we have to give him time as he can make mistakes. The important thing is his progress, he can have a beautiful future, depends on who is around and on the boy himself. Sometimes those with quality are lost on the way. You can always improve, I played with people who at 30 years has improved. If there is a desire and you are serious, you can do better. Today I believe that he lacks a bit of seriousness. I started in Serie A at 16 years, who has certain opportunities must make the most of it. ”

What do you describe Inter aside of Crazy?

“I think the madness is the beauty of Inter. But we try to be more regular. The winning mentality is in Inter’s DNA regardless of the quality of the team.”

What was your best moment at Inter?

“They were extraordinary four years, some were more beautiful than others. But it’s beautiful to train with Inter every day.”

How did you feel when you knew that you could return?

“It’s risky to return to a place where you have done well, you might ruin what good has been done. But it is a good challenge. The challenge is difficult, it was not my intention to return to Italy, there were other offers, however, they did not materialize.”

Working in England changed your mind?

“When I arrived at City, they were weak, but they grew. I have adapted to them and they did to me. It wasn’t that hard tactically because football is very different there.”

First feeling after receiving Inter’s phone call?

“I thought about it a bit, then they called me again and I saw they were serious, it’s hard for me to say no to Inter.”

Zanetti’s Importance?

“Javier has made the history of Inter, a professional copy to be a reference to the young.”

What are the goals for this season?

“They were set at the beginning, it’s a bit late now. We are not used to losing but unfortunately when you start to build there must be suffering. Galatasaray? I arrived before the Champions league, we were ninth and eventually we came second and winning the national cup. There is similarity between Galatasaray and Inter, similar situations and maybe things will go the same way.”

Favourite dish and music?

“I like cappelletti (A pasta dish), listening to Italian music especially old ones.”

What makes you proud of your coaching career?

“I like to have a good relationship with all the players even if it is often not possible, because if a player is on the bench he think that the coach is a cunt, you say so many things regarding the relations between players and coach.”

What is your favorite city?

“In Italy, Rome, Paris in Europe.”

What is your best memory in football?

“As a footballer the Scudetto with Sampdoria, as a manager all the victories. The first Scudetto with Inter was beautiful, that league was dominated from the start to the end. A good memory is the 4-3 derby.”

How important is it to have set pieces specialist?

“Very important, especially in the matches against tactically prepared teams.”

What changed between 2004 and 2014 for you as a coach?

“I was younger, now the players are a little different. Before, they were experts, now they are youngsters. Personally I have more experience and more thoughtful.”

What are your intentions for 2015?

“What I’ve always wanted, to put maximum effort into my work because the only way you can achieve unexpected goals is by hard work and always believing.”

What do you feel about being UNICEF’s ambassador?

“For me this is great honor, being a public figure I must try to behave myself. Even more now as an ambassador. I hope to be helpful to many people who are in need.”

The best player at the moment?

“Messi, Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic and Yaya Toure.”

Strongest opponents as a player?

“Maradona, Platini, Matthaeus. In those years there were great players, we hope that Serie A will be back like that. You have to change the mindset to bring back the big players.”

The best player of all time?

“Maradona”.

What is your relationship with social networks?

“A few months ago I was nerdy enough, now it’s a nice thing, I have more contact with people.”

Final Message?

“We will do the impossible to bring Inter back where deserved. We hope to do it. The guys have always been outstanding in training and that makes me hopeful for the final outcome of the championship.”
