With the arrivals of Lukas Podolski from Arsenal and Xherdan Shaqiri from Bayern Munich, Inter is looking to make a huge improvement. Giovanni Trapattoni, one who knows Inter and Germany, spoke to Sport Mediaset and recalled his experience with German players at Inter and stressed: “The Germans have a great technical caliber that allows them to resist the pressure. With these two players Inter can aspire to the third place, the distance between the first and the Nerazzurri is not justified. These transfers were great, but we still need more. Midfielder (hopefully Motta, hopefully for free), Defender (Nastasic, if that train hasn’t gone yet), striker (had this crazy idea that if we had cash to splash we could use Mancini to get Dzeko from City, since they’re probably signing Bony; if not Dzeko we could try to get Destro from Roma?) and at least one full back (no ideas there, Criscito or Santon come to mind but…)
Yes and then the ffp wont just ban us from buying players for 2 years and fine us they will stop our club hahaha dont be selfish we took these two and in my opinion one rb and we can start using vidic or andreolli instead of rano our midfield is working out great in my opinion .

Anyway, I was thinking a bit more long term, not even imagining that we can buy all of these right now. Just saying we’re still missing some things to get to the CL.
As for the midfield, I think there are players we need to offload, then we make small tweaks. But the major problem is the defense.
Isn’t that why Mancini wants a good DM though? As that will help cover the defence? We definitely need a decent RB but Surly a good DM will help a great deal with the goals being leaked at the mo?
You know that we don’t have money for Dzeko/Destro and Criscito. But you know better that this summer we have to pay for those who’s now on loan and if we continue that way we’ll be forced to sell our important players Handanovic, Icardi, wich will be huge mistake. Isn’t Podolski and Shaqiri enough at least for Europa League? Why now our management doesn’t concentrate on offloading mediocre players like Jonathan, Campagnaro, Pereira, Obi, Schelotto, Nagatomo, even Kuzmanovic, Ranocchia and Guarin? Or to focus all efforts to sign for free with players like Konoplyanka and Schar wich contracts expires in summer.
Completely agree with the sales, and the targets I mentioned are long term targets (as in next season or something), can’t happen now. Except Motta maybe.
Also, the free agents you’ve mentioned are great too.
Definitely agree…. It’s time to improve team performance with existing squad….. Reach 3rd place of Serie A and/or champ EL as the target for CL…. Then, get money from CL and more sponsors…. After all of that, we may have a look the possibilities for other great players to be hired…. Forza Inter….
