If he is a deeper lying ”regista” type midfielder, then he and Hernanes can compete for the midfield role, beside Medel. But, I think we need a midfielder who can be box-to-box with better decision making than Guarin. In that sense, Suarez/Camacho would be better.
I say this, because, Medel makes us too defensive as it is. If Kovacic were to probe forward to find/open spaces/ be in the box, another midfielder in the final third/ just outside the six yard area, can hold up ball/play/ or provide options for Podolski and Shaqiri, apart from the overlapping fullbacks.

But, anyway, what I meant was that by getting rid of M’Vila (no matter how) we save the money we would’ve spent on him in the summer if he stayed on. We can basically direct that money elsewhere now that he is leaving (IF he is leaving).

Khedira’s wage demands will probably equal our top 3 in terms of wage, altogether. And the competition for his signature will definitely tear us to pieces, he’s out of our league.
Loan would be great… because I’m not a big fan of him… but his stats are good… Liverpool fans really love him
The thing with Lucas is that he is a highly intelligent player, but he has had some serious injury problems in the past as I can remember, and also being part of a club constantly in turmoil like Liverpool didn’t help him recover his stability.
He is proving to be key for them this season, though, one of the best players on the squad. And I think there’s a good reason Mancini seems to be so insistent on getting him.

He would! He is twice the player Kuz is but both playing as a deeper “regista” type of midfielder and that’s the type of player we need so that the defense knows who to pass the ball to, and not just kick the ball farward like under Mazza!
I think the price for a 28 years old lad with loads of experience from the PL, the Champions League and from playing with Brazil, is a more than fair!
