After Palermo’s game, Mancini has played the same amount of games that Mazzarri did this season with 22 games of Serie A, 11 for each of the coaches, with Mazzarri edging in the amounts of points won who had got five more points and one more goal than the current coach in the same amount of games.
Tuttosport today published an extensive comparison including many aspects of the game, the most important was the offensive assembled coefficients. With Mazzarri index share 57.2 (fourth place in Serie A) while Mancini declined to 51.5 (eighth), only one aspect they didn’t mention which is the opponents that botch coaches had faced, Mancini played against Milan, Lazio, Roma and Juventus, while Mazzarri didn’t.

Stop saying that it’s because Mancio just arrived. Mazzarri’s numbers on his first 11 games coaching Inter last season are even better than this season’s (and, of course better than Mancini’s first 11 games)
Yes with Mancio we have style and glamour… but results-wise Mazzarri is still winning.
And yes i LOVE defensive style of playing. That’s why i started to follow the Italy NT, which later took me to follow Serie A “the hardest league in the world”, that’s how HH’s Grande Inter played (5-3-2 libero, that’s FIVE defenders), that’s how Mou’s Inter played (4-2-3-1, TWO defensive mids and JUST ONE striker)… for short that’s the real identity (playing-wise) of Inter for me.
I hope time will tell that Inter was wrong to sack Mazzarri.

If you aim big you need first to establish a good way of play especially offensive play which without it you can’t compete with the big guns in Europe and with mazzari we won’t but with mancini we have a chance

Mazzari had preseason and was in his second season with Inter, Mancini was dropped in the roster with 1 weeks time. Also Mancini had way tougher opponents since he arrived. I’m not a fanboy of Mancini but when we play good, damn, we look 10 times better than under Mazzari. We had some fails under Mancini but its under a new formation and new signings. Not en excuse, but still, it’s a factor. In the end, I think Mancini was the right choice and a change from the 3 at the back formation was needed.
