Here are another news of the figures or let’s say the options given to Mauro Icardi in order to put pen to paper with the Nerazzurri for a new deal, we all know that there were lots of talking regarding the image rights between the club and the striker’s agent, that’s how Inter settled the situation.
According to Gian Luca Di Marzio, Inter gave Icardi two options to choose from, the first is a 50-50 dividend of his image rights value and a €2.8 million salary or him retaining 100% of his rights but for a €2.3 million, with Icardi favouring the first option.

Can someone explain these image rights he is so concerned about, and why they seem to be holding up a renewal?
I think it has to do with sponsors. If say Pepsi signs Icardi on a deal Inter gets a cut and he can be mandated to wear inter kits in the ads.
The exception being he brings out a perfume or line of clothing on his own and not football related then he alone will profit from that.
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I understand that it can be a big hurdle for both sides. I just wish it wouldn’t hold the deal up.
A good deal by inter – Icardi will take his time to think this through
As much as we all will love him to stay.. He will leave this summer.. And he is right to do so.. We Inter are in a building zone.. and Icardi can become our first big cash in- we can ofload him and buy 2 strikers and a defender.. thats what we need right now.. Vietto/Bacca & Murillo for Icardis money.. thats fair… and maybe sell Handanovic and bring in a good back up for Medel and a Perin 🙂
As much as I hate to say this… but I think you are right….
yes we can get 2 good strikers and a good defender If we sell him at €100 million. I think we’d better renew Icardi’s contract than selling him.
