According to 6cero.com Inter and Milan have made offers in competition with Athletic and Real Sociedad. The portal says that the offers from the Italian clubs for Illarramendi would mean a higher salary for the player than at the Spanish clubs. Real Madrid value the player at 20 million Euro’s.

20 mil is a bit too much, but he’s a good player, would provide a lot of balance considering the fact that he’s a great passer of the ball, has vision but is also physically robust and adept at defending.
