“The manager knows exactly how to prepare for the match – it’s not my job to give advice. I can offer some recommendations about my compatriots, but the boss has so much experience that I don’t think he needs my help.”
You will meet Benaglio and Rodriguez again, have you have been in contact with them after the draw?
“We have not talked, but I know several Wolfsburg players: Klose, Benaglio, Rodriguez and Luis Gustavo. It’s great to meet up with them again for a European fixture. On a personal level, I have good memories of playing well here with Bayern.”
You have scored in this arena, will the Volkswagen Arena lend a hand to the opponents?
“Personally, the memories, the things I have experienced in this arena are are good: with Bayern we won here. Wolfsburg are a complete side and have strengthened well. They’ve been winning lots of games in the Bundesliga. It’s going to be a tough tie, but we want to continue the journey we’ve started and get a good result, like we did at Celtic Park.”
