Cesena coach Domenico Di Carlo was happy with his team after the draw at San Siro. Here is what he said to La Domenica Sportiva.

“For us this is an important point, it came after a courageous performance. We faced a strong Inter. In the second half they did well and the game could have been won and lost. We need to do better in some situations, like in the beginning of the second half where we paid a high price for coming on unfocused. Carbonero is fantastic and technical, he need to get to know the serie a but he will be helpful for us. I am happy with the team and the point we got. It gives us confidence for the rest of the season. Defrel knows how to create problems for the defenses. I often have him start wide to use that skill, he is really good at splitting the defense in two and then scoring.”

Di Carlo then spoke about the tactical parts of the game.

“We started off playing the same set up as Inter and we did well to close them down, but when they switched to the 4-2-3-1 we had a hard time defending their wingers. They managed to put pressure on us. We will work on doing these things better during the week, we could have been more careful tonight. We got stretched out too much and it became easy for them to create chances.”
