Among the many European nights to remember for Inter there is one that has remained in the memory of everybody. It was November 7, 1990, at San Siro stadium: Trapattoni’s Inter had to come back from a 0-2 loss at Villa Park against Aston Villa. It seemed impossible, and instead there were goals from Klinsmann, Berti and Bianchi. Nicola Berti remembers that magical evening: “I remember a training session the morning before. We were all very focused and there was even an argument between me and Riccardo Ferri. We were ‘electrical’ because everyone believed in the comeback after 2-0 in Birmingham. What can be learned from this Inter comeback? Nothing, if you don’t have the same desire that we had 25 years ago. We all know how important it is for Inter to move forward in the Europa League. We must win it because you qualify for the next Champions and therefore I think they will enter the pitch with the same desire that my Inter had. Sure, Wolfsburg is very strong and is showing it both in the Bundesliga and in Europe, but the beauty of things is that anything can really happen even if the absence of Shaqiri could have an impact. But first the defense must be in order, otherwise it is hard.”

its what Inter lacked post-Mourinho era. Somehow RM needs to implement this illusive win factor in the team. Like I said, most of Inter’s player are quality players but when the team doesn’t perform like they should the lack of confidence creeps in and obviously would effect the players themselves. I don’t care if it’s Carrizo or even Kuzmanovic anyone and everyone has to believe and step up their game. Forza Inter!
