The words uttered by Roberto Mancini in the aftermath of the elimination in the Europa League (“Maybe we shouldn’t play in the European cups and focus on the league) have fueled doubts at Inter. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there shouldn’t even be any doubt: participate in the next Europa League no matter what. Indeed, it remains an obligation even if it is the preliminaries. At least that’s the idea of Erick Thohir, ready to change the plans for the team this summer in case of sixth place: the Asian tour will be shortened, the team will have shorter holidays, while the training camp in Brunico will take placec in early July before leaving for the East. The tycoon is angry about the results offered by the team in the Europa League, but was encouraged by the coach with whom he remains in full harmony. The Indonesian now expects a decent season finale and next year a team that can challenge for a trophy. Present at the stadium, the former patron Massimo Moratti instead spoke with Mancini eye to eye both before and after the match with Wolfsburg and in the locker room to the team, to which he said he appreciated the effort but which now needs to give much more.
“The more tangible presences, however, – writes the pink newspaper – remain those of CEO Marco Fassone and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio. The two remained with Mancini for nearly an hour on Thursday night at San Siro to analyze the defeat, do further evaluation for the future and outline the strategy for the immediate. The first thing to shake off was that a group which made an effort against the Germans did not have the blood in their eyes that the situation – and the 42 000 who flocked to San Siro, in the beginning capable of creating an atmosphere of old times, called for. The absence of the fire is evidenced by one statistic: one yellow card, that of Medel. Yesterday morning the team met in Appiano for a traning session. But before they received a reprimand from four voices (even that of Thohir which was in a text message from Jakarta) which read something like this: ‘It is not easy to get up after a night like that, but you can’t give in like that. You must react immediately, otherwise the risk is that you start accepting defeat as a habit. Europe remains possible and essential’,” concludes the newspaper.

Thohir need to invest wisely only three coaches can lead Inter to success Mourinho or Pep or Simeone and they need a lot of money to redesign Inter to get back to the track or Thohir need to live the truth that Inter need to save money for the next 10 years to be able to do so
I don’t know how to describe this condition, mancini now be come clueless… This i’m afraid off, campa as RB many times.. God.. Is useless
I still believe in Thohir and think that he’s the right guy in those hard times, who will bring us back where we belong. But that’s not gonna be easy and we have to be patient and trustful. Same i can say about Ausilio, but I’m not so sure about Fassone and Mancini.
The frickin situation has already been analysed! The defense pairing sucks, its either rano is bad and JJ is good or JJ is bad and rano is good, these two have no consistency! And using Campa as an RB… I dare mancio to give me one good match for Campa as an RB… and carrizo… 3 or 4 of the goals scored against us are all his fault! You play against a big team, you field in your best keeper! If handa didn’t wanna leave, he sure will now! That was his chance to play an important game and he stewed in the bench… Mancio can’t work under pressure, but good thing is he’s an inspiration to players and can attract some big names.
“The absence of the fire is evidenced by one statistic: one yellow card, that of Medel.” We should have a “buy 1 get 1 free sale” this summer.
Who the hell thought we had a chance of winning EL? You guys must be smoking something and I want some of it.
And what do you suggest, to give up before even try? I will always repeat it all the time, the problem is not lack of results, but the attitude and the way we playing.
Europe was a possibility if we did not fuck up the Europa League and won it, then the CL-spot for next year would had saved us…
hahaha.. 7 place is good for inter. Impossible for 3rd place.. now inter play money politics..
Ha ha ha serie b!
Financially, we are already screwed. The plans with Shaqiri, Santon and such were that we reach far in EL and get a CL spot. Now we are already out of EL and most likely not even getting a EL spot. Some huge sales will be needed.
