It was a Roberto Mancini saddened by yet another defeat of the season who spoke with Sky Sport after the match Sampdoria-Inter. These are the words of coach from Jesi: “It was not a great month, I have nothing to say for tonight’s game because we deserved to win and we lost. The ranking? We have to keep playing like tonight hoping that fate is on our side. There are 10 games and we must continue with performances like that against Samp. I’m not happy for the last month but we have to move on. Apart from the difficulties that we are encountering I think we deserve to lose fewer games than those we have lost. There are times when things go wrong and to come out of it we have to be strong.”

Inter has no luck: “The fate has to change. I am the coach and I accept all the criticism, projects last much longer than a few months. In Italy we are not used to this but accepting criticism is part of my job. I think the team has improved a lot even if the results are negative. We must not let this bring us down.”

Finally a comment on Palacio: “Podolski was more fresh, I played Lukas instead of Rodrigo only for this reason.”
