In a long interview with uefa.com, Andrea Pirlo spoke of his fantastic career and his feeling about the transfer in 2001 from Inter to the city rivals AC Milan: “Well, I was so young [22] that I didn’t really take any notice. I just wanted to show [Inter] they made a mistake in selling me and I ended up having ten fantastic years with Milan. But there were no hard feelings towards my old team really.”

Now coutinho price 40mil… that’s mistake for management. be patience with ur young talent.. don’t sell kova..
The key is patience. Both on Club and Coaches part. I hope RM have enough patience with Kovacic, he might not be an all round player but i still think attacking play he is second to none. But give time, he might gradually evolve into complete midfielder. Pirlo make up for his lack of speed with intelligent passes, thats what make him one of a kind player. For coaches, if RM failed and to be replace, i hope they go for Capello or Ancelotti. If not i like to see a German to coach Inter.
oh yeah, we had many fantastic scouts, but we end up having so many ‘unique’ marketing people
LOL, one of the most ‘iconic’ transfer we made.
swapped with guly, one of masterpiece by Oriali alongside with seedorf-coco swap!
dont’ forget Fabio Carini – Fabio Cannavaro swap as well LOL
well that one, Oriali could relieve that he’s already not in charge at that time.
Branca already stepped in and took Oriali place as director (while Oriali only given position as ‘consultant’).

why people keep thinking that if we didnt sell all those player (pirlo, cou, and maybe kova), they will shine with us. move on guys. not every player can suit in every team. many exmple for this, forlan only good at atl.madrid, T.henry, monster at arsenal but avarage at others. sheva God at seriaA but amateur at chelsea, kaka at madrid is another sample.
when player doesnt meet the expectation from the club, its logic for the management to sell those player.
One of my biggest sadness as Interista
That’s because we always have had shitty coaches who didn’t know how to get the best out of the players. That’s why Simeone and Mourinho are extraordinary, because every player that gets play time by them gets only better and better.
There are only few coaches in the world that are able to develop players or make them overcome their self. So instead of looking how to get great players,we should look seriously how to find an awesome coach for the present and the future.
Mancini is better than Mazzari of course since with some qualitative buys he will get us on top but then again we should be looking again for the best coach there is in the market. Because only a great coach can make us big again in the pitch and off it in the bank account.
Who would you pick realistically as a coach, and how much would you offer him (paycheck)?
strama. i would get him back in 1-2 years if mancini manages to improve the team.
strama have clear ideas, is a real tactician and have eyes for details. He made kova, cassano, palacio play really good. and that was then, with basically zero experience. with a couple more of years experience at udinese and he would be a very good coach.
+1
yes.. bring back strama in the next 2 years
AGREEE!!! bring bcak strama after min 3-5 years..
well, if you offer Mazzarri 3.5 mill a year then a good coach is twice as good so he should be paid twice as much. Well, unless inter admits they were stupid to sign mazzarri for that much money and to extend his contract for that much money of course.

Nice thing Solberg mentioned Strama, he for sure should be one of the options since under him i saw the most beautiful play of Inter that i have ever seen probably to be honest. We were attacking, we never attack.
We traditionally have been a team that uses its chances clever and scores when we have those chances but with Strama that changed, he had the balls and tactic wisdom to play with 3 forwards with a modest attack i would say. Another thing was that he was too unlucky with the injuries.
Actually thinking more he would have been my first choice if possible. Just look at the results while he had the majority of the team available and then you will see. Look at the games against Juventus, Totenham. The best thing about him i think was that he could see his mistakes. That is a rare thing on coaches.
If not him i would prefer Simeone,Klop, Bielsa. And the wage is relative for really proven masterpiece coaches i think even 10 millions are nothing. But not “proven” shits like Mazzari.
Because an awesome coach, develops the youth, creates a meaningful play and gets u result. As a result u can sell ur players for more expensive sums and get to buy more qualitative players from the sales and the incomes of the successes like in Serie A or CL. All we need is an awesome coach and we need him to give him time, because these kind of coaches don’t fail ever.
Excuse me for this long comment..
simeone but in a 2-3 yrs time when we should have a competitive squad
Inter fans said 3-4 years ago that inter should have a competitive squad in 2-3 years and look at the team now? trailing Torino in the Serie A standings at what 9th place !

Inter always get screwed when selling midfielders
pirlo . Couthinho and now kova 🙁 sad to see this
YOu really think Coutinho and Kova can be considered with the likes of Pirlo?
Time will tell. Remember that at 22 Pirlo was sold (exchanged) to Milan because he was not good enough. At Milan he struggled some time before settling in the deep playmaker role where he could show all his class.
I hope we don’t make the same mistake with Kovacic :(. BTW, Couthinho keep amazing me at Liverpool every weekend.
Agree.. management must be carefully about transfer.
