As has been reported for a few days, Inter have more or less sealed the deal for Xian Emmers, the midfielder born ’99 who plays for Genk and the Belgian Under-16 national team. The player’s father, Marc Emmers, speaks to sporza.be of the deal that is only awaiting official confirmation: “It’s basically done. We have accepted all of Inter’s conditions and this month we will organize everything with Genk: we will fix every detail thoroughly. I spoke a lot with Xian and he is completely in agreement with me: at Inter he will find everything he needs. Contrary to what some people say on social media”, Marc Emmers continues, “my son’s move has nothing to do with money: our decision is completely based on what is best for the future development of the player”.

Inter have certainly been moving quite a lot in terms of youngsters since thohir took over, the only problem is the transition from primavera to first team. Certainly the league quality does not help the players grow and playing for inter would at such a young age would invite immense pressure. it would be nice if inter could have some sort of informal agreement between smaller premier league club or la liga club for the players to develop, in form of a loan ofcourse.
is this deal something to get excited about?
