A disheartened Roberto Mancini spoke to Mediaset Premium after the loss that meant the Europa League is now out of reach.

“It is tough of course because it is a game that we should not have lost looking to the chances we created and the way we played. Today we threw away a lot. But Juventus have a great character and quality players, if oyu give them the chance to remain in the game they can punish you. The Vidic foul? If I mark a player that I know is faster than me, I put myself in a position that does not let him overtake me. We needed to pay more attention, two errors cost us the game. This is football, results are not logical but it went like this.”

Mancini about the difficulties at the Meazza:

“San Siro is heavy and it is difficult for the players, we need others that can help them grow. Some suffer when we play at home while they play more easily on the road. Handanovic? He has saved us many times, mistakes happen. We needed to be meaner; the first half should not have ended 1-1 but 2-0, apart from the second goal that was valid. The linesman was in a good position, I don’t even know how he did it (disaloowed the goal).”
