Mehdi Benatia is at the very top of Roberto Mancini’s wishlist and now, everything will be done to satisfy the manager after the letdowns in these early stages of the summer window. President Erick Thohir himself will take action, as reported by la Gazzetta dello Sport: “The president will try to convince Bayern Munich of selling the French-Moroccan centreback through a meeting in Berlin, neutral ground that may be fruitful for the Nerazzurri. Thohir will have the opportunity to speak to the Bayern management to try and find a way to bring Mancini’s favourite defender back to Italy. Alternative solutions include Abdennour of AS Monaco, Basa of Lille, Heurtaux of Udinese and Terziev of Ludogorets, according to the newspaper.

Early let downs? The window hasn’t even opened yet and all we’ve read is 20 different rumors about 20 different players. How can we be disappointed if nothing concrete has happened yet for any player we’ve mentioned?
This just seems to me that we are actually trying this transfer market- being linked to these kinds of name shows what management is trying to do+ determining the names beforehand to give more time to negotiate

He is good. Look how he played last 20 games this season.
Benatia is a good defender, but he’s too expensive for us and where’s the piont to leave Bayern after just one season? Alternatives are terrible Abdennour, Basa, Heurtaux and Terziev are mediocres and nothing more. We need fast central defender, because our defense is too slow and because Mancini insist our back line to be high on the pitch. But first we have to get rid of Ranocchia and even possibly Vidic (because of his big salary) if we will going to buy another central defender after Murillo.

From what I can see these players are all within top quality range, I am assuming Thohir is testing the waters with all these players in their respectable clubs. Basically a process of elimination, which I assume he will move on to more realistic targets soon, and this will also prove to fans he has tried everything within his power to get players within the highest range that inter just might be able to get.
I just hope we can at least land one or two of these “Top quality range” players by the end of the transfer window. Unlikely but not impossible.
Only if ausilio keeps on doing deals that he always does with most players, that is a loan with an option to buy clause, i think it might be possible.
i don’t like Abdennour . if we can’t get benatia i would go for Heurtaux or even basa ,skrtel
