Just as Erick Thohir, Javier Zanetti was interviewed at the Great Hyatt Hotel in Berlin before the Champions League-final and the Inter vice-president talked about the possibility that Juventus wins the treble:
“We live this night very calmly. We did a great thing and we are proud over that and if Juve manages to do so tonight as well, we have to congratulate them.”
Zanetti continued talking about the mercato and the Inter directors at Berlin:
“It’s me, Thohir, Bolingbroke and Williamson. Inter’s plans? We are working to return as protagonists. For Ausilio there’ll be a very busy summer, talking with Mancini our plan is to construct a great team. The coach asked for 8-9 players? They are many, lets start out with one signing then we will see what happens.”
Zanetti finished with talking about Benatia:
“He is a great champion and a great defender. We’ll talk about it calmly and if he comes we’ll be happy, these are complicated negotiations. We’ll let Piero work without pressure.”
