Rai Sport report on the details of how Geoffrey Kondogbia was secured by Inter and not Milan.
Inter and Monaco reached agreement at €30 million with €8-€9 million in bonuses within easy reach. Monaco will also receive 10% of any future resale of the player from Inter. The player’s contract is €3.8 million per season plus performance bonuses.
It has been revealed that Milan offered more money, both to club and player; €40 million for the player to be paid in two installments, and €4.2 million net per season plus bonuses in salary for Geoffrey.
The Frenchman preferred Inter and the Nerazzurri’s project thanks in no small way to the constant telephone contact with Roberto Mancini.

Heyy.. I’m one of a fan who excited when mazzari come to inter, regarding what he have done with napoli, and when he made Inter back to 5th, and i believed that the next year inter with mazzari will be better than that, because the transition from 4 defense to 3 defense, but as we can see last season there was no improvement and the team play was so predictable. And i was joyed to watch inter win 7-0 against sassuolo (even i only can watch from TV) but we cannot compare one or two games with so many games mazzari have with inter.
I respect him, he manage the team with all his passion, but we must see the truth that inter with mancini is better in team played, and mancini cannot use his fav 4-2-3-1 because podolski is not in good form, and not forget to mantion that our defense have many errors or miss understanding

guys i totally agree as well, all am saying the bad results for mazzari were a result of tension in the back room as he was treated badly by fans ordered by Morrati .. Moratti hurt us bad last year. he didnt put inter first, thats it and i hope Mancio will get better respect from inter management ..

Some people are really hard to please. I believe this move is one in the right direction. Inter’s biggest problem last season was our defence and the holding midfielders. We missed a Cambiasso like player badly, so we now bought one for 30 mil who is only 22 yrs old and you all are complaining. wow
You’re right in a way but got some stuff wrong….nobody signed for inter since RM came is a flop…podolski had a tough time yes but regardless we didn’t sign him on perm deal it was just a loan…shaqiri has had fitness problems since even at bayern and this transitional period to serie a is anything but easy for some players who are not physically acquainted with attributes that would facilitie their playing style and settling in the league so give shaqiri this season then you can judge.Kondogbia isn’t far off from the wages we pay Vidic and where as Kondogbia is going on an incline Vidic is well past his prime and in his twilight.I know your frustration as an Inter fan and the chances we are taking to bring inter back to where it belongs but this is surely a step in the right direction. Just need a couple full backs and we should be set for a top 5 finish next season. Forza inter!!
Tell that to the Juventus and Arsenal midfield they were struggling against his physicality. He was a monster in midfield this whole season, contributing to Monaco beeing the team who conceeded the least amount of goals in group stages in CL and the least amount of goals in Ligue 1. The French league are also having a positive period with improvement just like Serie A, it’s not a bad League by any sence of the word.
Good decision by Kondogbia. Off course as an Interista I am a bit biased, but I honestly feel that we have a better project to offer. We have a coach with multiple big clubs experience, both domestic and in Europe. ACM have a new coach that although well known by Interisti, is pretty much a fresh face with no real achievements. Inter are a few years ahead in reconstruction whereas ACM are still in shambles. Looking forward to seeing Kondogbia in black and blue..
