The future of Felipe Melo Vicente de Carvalho will, unless a dramatic turn of events, be at Inter and – according to our partners at FcInterNews – the player should be there already for the training camp at Riscone July 5th. The reasons that are leading to the success of this deal are many and both economic and motivational.
Regarding the first aspect, the news is the figure that Galatasaray are willing to accept: the transfer market rumors speak of a demand of about 5 million euro, but everything could be settled for a lot less. 2,5 to 3 million would be enough for the Turks to say yes. The situation concerning the salary of the player, however, is still being defined, and the discussion supposedly concerns another year on the duration of the contract: it definitely will not be for one year, more likely a two-year or a three-year contract and 2,5- 3 million per season.
The other aspects, equally important, is the desire of the player born 1983 in Volta Redonda to wear the Inter shirt and join Roberto Mancini, and the feasibility of the deal in comparison to Thiago Motta (yet to resolve the situation of former Barcelona, Genoa and Inter with Paris Saint-Germain). They turn away instead, for different reasons, Gilbert Imbula Wanga of Olympique de Marseille and Stéphane M’Bia, the Cameroonian whose contract with Sevilla recently expired (on his way to Trabzonspor). Back to Felipe Melo, Inter and his entourage had a meeting yesterday, while the individual concerned is currently on vacation with his family. Awaiting a ‘white smoke’ that will come very soon. Last minute twists are always possuble but, for now, it seems a remote hypothesis.
