Inter take a pause to think before trying to sign a central midfielder. According to Sky Sport 24 Mancini wants to take his time and study the players and talk to Ausilio and Fassone before deciding. At the moment the priorities for Inter are elsewhere. Mario Suarez still remains a viable option, but it is still too early to exclude names like Lucas Leiva, Felipe Melo and Obi Mikel.

I would prefer song, cheaper and more of a box-to-box midfielder. It would be good to have another like Broz.
Casemiro first , modric second, obi mikel third.. go inter.. sell guarin and hernanes.. modric is good mentor for the croatian inter..
In Mancini’s philosophy defensive midfielders have the most important role in the team so he acts scrupulous on this matter.
Forget garbage like Lucas, Melo and Mikel. We don’t need them!!! We have Kondogbia, Medel, Brozovic, Hernanes, Kovacic, Guarin in the midfield. Why we need those of garbage? Our priority is now a striker/winger and attacking midfielder. Not central midfielder. Indeed, both Kova and Hernanes are not pure attacking midfielders. Look at our strikers: Icardi, Palacio and Shaqiri. It means we only have 1 central striker. What if Icardi is injured? What if Palacio/Shaq is not in form? We desperately need a striker/winger and attacking midfielder. BERARDI + LAMELA!!!
when it comes to players out of form, i would not put my money on lamela. he has not performed in 2 years, besides he has huge wages
This is smart!! We have 5 midfielders at the moment that take priority(Brosovic, Kovacic, Kondogbia, Hernanez, Medel ) With no mid week matches and we are only ever playing with a 3 man midfield with 2 wingers and a striker we really only need 1 more for rotation of our formation, Lets focus on a winger and sell the deadwood.

Suarez seems good but I mean…we’re getting midfield heavy plus we’re already getting problems with outbound transfers for the unmarketable deadweight in the team so good move by Mancini. Hope whoever we bring in hits the ground running.

Song has more intelegence, better passing both direct and long pass. Once at arsenal Song is main assistant for Van Persie with his Pin Point Pass from the middle. He just make suicide decision when moved to Barca. Suarez in my opinion is good in brawl and as holder DMF but little lack to create Key Pass. I think Madel is better than Suarez

Yes, I agree. We have offloaded Jonathan, Campagnaro, Obi, Kuzmanovic. This was very good. Now we must offload Nagatomo, Vidic and Guarin. If there is an offer for Palacio, we also need to offload him because he earns the highest 3.2m wage with Vidic and his contributions are less and less.
this is a very smart decision by Mancio, especially considering that we have yet to get certain players like Guarin off the books who if we play the 4-2-3-1 (which looks very likely) would almost definitely be used as one of the 2 DMs along with Kondo, Medel, Brozovic, and possibly Kovacic. We need to concentrate primarily on attackers for right now. Id say Jovetic is a must buy considering the player also really wants the move and has huge upside, but we should also look to bring in another true #9, like Quagliarella or maybe even Pato who is basically asking Inter to take him, but obviously has some risks
right now it seems none of them are necessary! inter has kondogbia, kovacic and brozovic as 3 top class , young midfielders. medel & hernanes can provide experience and leadership. adding another midfielder doesn’t look important really! we should’ve secured benassi! he could’ve been a very valuable backup player, and a future investment.

I agree, the attack is the most important thing now. The last player of this mercato can be a new dmc. Out of all the possibilities – Suarez, Song, Lucas, Melo or Obi Mikel, I will definitely say MARIO SUAREZ! Second choice will be Song but a lot of distance between the 1st and 2nd choice 🙂

In fact, I think that Mancini postpone his decision on dmc, because he is waiting for Thiago Motta to take a decision on his future…. I think that Mancini prefers a player that has a lot of experience in midfield. I personally prefer suarez and song over motta, but surely he can be a good acquisition as well.

if motta realy come to inter, i don’t think he will be use regularly.. more for rotation and to bring the calmness in our midfield when we need it, because we already have kondogbia, medel, brozo, kova, and even guarin( if we can’t sell him) that can play in his position.. but afterall, mancini know better than us, what he realy need for his gameplan.. so whoever come in this transfer market should be the player that support the coach gameplan.. 🙂
