Fox Sports Brazil have revealed this year’s biggest transfer market spenders in an article posted on their website. The list is headed by Spanish club Valencia, owned by Singaporean businessman Peter Lim, who have spent 108 million euros to sign players including Alvaro Negredo, Rodrigo, João Cancelo and Enzo Perez. Manchester United are second on the list, having spent 98 million on Morgan Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Matteo Darmian, and Manchester City have spent about 90 million so far this year.

When it comes to Italian clubs, Juventus have spent the most (87.6 million) and find themselves in fifth place ahead of Liverpool. AC Milan (62.5 million) are seventh just ahead of Inter, who have spent 61.4 million (including the expenses for Xherdan Shaqiri in January. In other words, the Nerazzurri are in front of Monaco, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich on the spending charts this year.
