The contract extension between Inter and Samir Handanovic, which will mean a pay rise for the goalkeeper to about 3 million euros a year after tax, has already been agreed on for some time now. However, the actual contract signing has not been done and because of this, the official announcement will have to wait.
According to FcInterNews.it there are still some details to work out (performance-based bonuses etc.) and this will have to wait until the transfer market is closed, as no energy and attention can be spared during this very important period. Once the last pieces of Mancini’s squad are put in place, there will be time to get to terms with the Slovenian. This means that the deal has once again been postponed, seeing as it now is expected to be signed in October.
