In my opinion there is a genius financial transfers plan/project for this mercato and possibly the next few years. In fact the idea behind this plan is to get almost all the players on loan with the right/obligation to buy the players and to sell the players that don’t perform well the next year in order to compensate the acquisitions of those players that we want to keep…… and continue doing this until we win something important. In this way we keep the financial accounts clean for the financial year in question.
For example: Until now we have spent around 55 mln eur (kondogbia 40mln + 8 mln Murillo+ 5 mln initial loan payments for Jovetic, Miranda and Montoya + 2 mln for Melo) that will probably go until 60 mln until the end of this mercato (we will get another loan/direct acquisition for a left full back and a vice Icardi). The plan is to keep only the players that have performed really well and the coach think they are important and fit his project – in the case of last mercato – only brozovic= > Shaqiri and Santon will be sold – “someone has to be sold, we need only 25 players”. In fact, we have paid 15 mln for shaqiri and the idea is to not register – 15 mln financial loss for the accounting year and this is why we will sell the player (+ the fact that Mancini needs another type of player) = > we sell him to schalke for 15 mln and the accounts are clean = 0, at the same time we get another player on loan – Perisic and in this way we will pay the transfer the next year or the year after. => this accounting year a loss only of 1 mln (the initial payment for the loan of Perisic) from the “winger replacement operation”, instead of 15 mln financial loss that we have paid to bayern for shaqiri.
Santon same thing – if we get 8 mln for him, it makes 23 mln. If we take into account the realized sales – bardi, obi, kuzmanovic, alvarez (10 mln maybe with the help of fifa) it makes around 40 mln. So we will need another 20 mln that we will get from Nagatomo, Guarin, Andreolli, Vidic, Taider etc.)
In conclusion the idea is to have clean financial accounts= 0 for this financial year and postpone payments for next years or compensate the acquisitions through other sales, but no real investment. I have to say that this is a very good plan.

I think that Mancini will try to find the best formula between 433 and 4312 for 5-10 matches. Mancini will certainly try to use 433 with perisic icardi combination with palacio as sub. In this case hernanes wont play or being deployed in mid-3. Or 4312 with icardi and perisic/palacio and hernanes/jojo as trequartista. With the arrival of perisic and jojo make it possible.. of course with biabiany as true winger as as reserved. I think 4231 will only be used in case we are behind.

Personally, i’m not too excited everytime we linked with players who operated on WF/RM/LM because history showed we’re not so lucky with WF or any side midfielder (RM/LM). I can name a lot of player who play in that position and most of them fail to fulfill the expectation, here’s the names (moriero, georgeatos, jugovic, conceicao, guly, okan buruk, kily gonzalez, van der meyde, luciano, solari, mancini, obinna, quaresma, arnautovic, biabiany, schelotto, botta, laxalt, and lately shaqiri), maybe only figo and recoba the player who give his mark/impact to the team and fans.
But since Jojo is here and maybe Perisic will follow, i hope they perform well.. I really do, all players i mentioned above, some of them already a winner, hot prospect, knows the league (like luciano, conceicao, mancini, schelotto) and very convincing reminded how well they perform for their ex club, yet they fail here. We don’t have good performer for WF/RM/LM for years since Figo…
I hardly believe that Mancini depolys Jovetic as a winger, since 4-3-3 means leaving Hernanes out of the starting line up.
I think it’s the most likely that Manco uses 4-3-1-2 as his primary line up, and that means Jovetic will compete with Palacio to be the second striker next to Maurito.

This part is exactly where I questioned Mancini’s tactical view, what formation he’s going to use next season. He wants a flexible forwards (perisic and jovetic) in order to change formation swiftly. But it also means that he’s still not sure whether to use 4231, 433, or 4312. He wants to deploy 433 but afraid that it doesnt work, and will change to 4312. Persic and jovetic will help him into since they can also play as second striker, unlike shaqiri.

in the lineup he plays on the leftside. . but when the team is in full possession he will go around looking for little pockets of space. almost like palacio but the main difference being is that palacio runs behind the defense while jovetic plays between the defense and the midfield.

Santon has proved that He can overcome his injury after almost 1 year without playing football. Even after continuously played as starter, Mancini said that he got some ‘fitness problem’ not injury though. I wish the best for Jovetic. If he can fit all season long. Jovetic already have 1on1 skill but his real task is to avoid injury. If JIP, or JIS manage to get 50+ goals with Murillo and Miranda at the back we should get champions league spot. You will not be successful if you play the same style in a tactical league like Serie A. That’s the main reason why a talented coach like Stramaccioni has been unsuccessful, his teams always start the season well but once other coaches figure him out he’s done!
Thankfully Mancio is more experienced than that. I think 4-3-1-2 is his primary systeam, but he’d use 4-3-3 and 3-5-2 as alternatives. That’s why he needs tools for it like Perisic.

I wouldnt call dambrosio good… hes a mediocre player and could be a suitable backup. Havent seen much of montoya but we know santon can play the position. Santon isnt bad hes just very average. His attacking game is better than his defending. There are so many talented full backs in serie A playing with weaker teams that would be decent enough to get starting roles for us. Nagatomo is actually our best full back and that tells you exsctly what our problem is. I would have loved to sign cholevas on the cheap
