Roberto Mancini is back in his hometown tonight for the friendly against AEK Athens. More than 8,000 supporters turned out to watch training this morning at the Stadio Carotti.

The Nerazzurri coach began by telling Inter Channel what he made of the reception for him and his players: “It’s great to see so many fans here. Even for those who aren’t Inter supporters, it’s always nice to watch great players.”

Team news was also on the agenda: “We still need a bit more time. There’s still a fortnight to go and the club is doing some great work. Let’s see.”

Finally, a word on his home region of the Marches: “I hope to see a team from my region in Serie A,” concluded Mancini.
