Today’s chapter in the seemingly endless soap that revolves around Inter trying to sign Croatian winger Ivan Perisic from Bundesliga’s Wolfsburg comes from Sport Mediaset. According to the tv channel, the directors of Inter will try to close the deal with Wolfsburg for Ivan Perisic within the next 3-4 days, but if the deal isn’t finalized by Monday, the club of Corso Vittorio Emanuele will turn to other alternatives on the transfer market.

To be honest I don’t see Wolfsburg selling him this yr. Kevin DeBruyne is leaving and they will be gutted if they also sell Perisic.
Also why ppl hate on Medel? He is good player. He fills his role perfectly, he has no attacking capabilities but that’s not his role. He is a pure CDM. With him and Kondo in middle I think will worst most games. Kondo can transform more into a CM and push up the field. No need to strictly worry about defending since Medel will be right next/slightly behind him.

This F**king guy Perisic deal is destroying our opportunities. This saga continued too long. Just give up this shit. Instead, accelerate Gabbiadini deal. Plus Cuadrado is open now since Chelsea has just purchased Pedro. Lamela won’t leave Tot, so Gabbiadini+Cuadrado will be awesome.

Totally agree, Inter spends too many energies and time to approach the player who does not have world class quality like Perisic or Berisic (Berisik in my country means so noisy but have full of sh*t). RM and any other people at management should be wise and clever to spend the money. It is critical time now due to transfer window is surely close to the end…..

If we don’t even get him, the sale of Kovacic and Shaqiri will turn out to be a complete disaster.
It is disaster either way. In my opinion we had a chance of competing for top 3 only if he would have a great season. Now we are stuck with mediocre players like Brozovic, Medel, Guarin and Hernanes in the midfield with a minimum of creativity and no space for development. If Kondogbia wasn’t here our midfield would look like a disaster waiting to happen.
If we don’t get 3 very good players until the end of transfer window I think we don’t have any chance competing with Milan, Lazio, Napoli, not to mention Juve or Roma.
And by very good players I don’t mean Perotti, Ljajic, Guerero or Ghoulam…
Overall the squad still looks miles better than last season. Kovacic have potential, but does really not contribute with more than Guarin at this point (only in style) as they are both very inconsistent and can win one game and be invisible the next.
Calling Medel mediocre? He have proven himself both in the inter shirt and at a international level as a top player.
Team looks better with Murillo and Miranda who are quality players (but we still don’t know if Mancini can get them to play at their top) and Jovetic who’s chances of staying non-injured are very small. I’m not mentioning Kondogbia because I think that we nullified his transfer with the outgoing transfer of Kovacic.
Medel is one-dimensional player, he is only good at destroying, for me that is mediocre. I think that you won’t find anyone who’s not Inter fan who will agree with you that he is a top player.
You can still be a great player even if you are one-dimensional if that is what is needed of you and it fit the system and style of the team. Yes he is a destroyer, and can play CDM or even CB like Chile and is great at it!.
By your logic, Pirlo is mediocre, because he is one-dimensional in what he do; make great passes forward.

But I’ll explain for Medel. The man passes to the closest player 90% of the time, he has no creativity, can’t shoot, his agression makes him unstable, he often left our backline exposed because he chased the player with the ball all around the field leaving a great open area in front of our defence.. It’s one of the reasons our backline looked so bad last season. He never played as a CB for Inter so I can’t comment on that.
Top players are Messi, Ronaldo, Hazard, Pogba, Modrić, Robben etc., not Gary Medel, not even close.
That’s my opinion on him, you don’t have to agree with it.
The comparison is fine, both fulfill a role with one purpos and does not do other things well. For someone playing central CDM/cleaner, you have to take the safe pass to build up play. When playing that position you cant afford to make risky passes.
From your comment you seem to miss the bigger picture and lack some overall football knowledge, only focusing on offensive capabilities and single actions. A team is dynamic and of course there are moments where he looked bad, but you have to take the team into consideration. A lot of the time last season Medel had to go out of position to cover, simply because the backline did not organize it self well enough – left too much space and was out of position being either afraid to go after the ball or doing it too recklessly. Secoundly you compare him to all offensive players with little to no defensive capabilities, only Pogba can defend a little. Playing flashy and dribble does not make a good CDM. You have to look at players that plays the same role and style to compare, you can compare him to players like Matic or De Rossi, or even Cambiasso/Motta if we take former inter players.

Brozo has been quite good and is still only 22 years old my friend (the same age as Kondogbia BTW) and Medel is insane in the destroyer-role!
I know how old Brozovic is, I’ve been watching him since he played for Lokomotiva 3-4 years ago. I just don’t think that he has that much room to improve.

I have to agree. We just have to accept the fact that Inter is a mediocre team at the moment as we are filled with mediocre players. Medel might be an International player but is not a top player. Top teams will not pay for Medel. Thinking that he is a top player just proves that we have sunken so low. If better players aren’t coming in to fill the void in midfield, we are looking at best a contention for Europa League only.
Trust me, without Medel won’t win Copa America..

Going by that logic you can name anyone from Chile defence or midfield because all of them had a great tournament.. Does that mean that all of them are top players? Of course not.

If you are Ausilio, who are the three very good player that you want to buy in 10 days left? And who the player that you want to sell to fulfill the 25 player quota?
Basically I would sell anyone besides newcomers, Handa, Gnoukouri and Icardi. I don’t mean that I would sell them all because we wouldn’t have enough player left. My favorites for offloading are D’Ambrosio, Nagatomo, Guarin, Taider, Schelotto.
Now that Kova is gone I really think we need someone creative in midfield but we are not linked with any midfield players so I’m gonna skip that.
So 3 quality players would be Coentrao as a wing back, Perisic and Cuadrado as wingers/fowards. I’ve mentioned just the players that are linked to us. Cuadrado is pretty unrealistic, but I don’t like any other wingers being linked to us at the moment.
Perisic and Coentrao deals also look unlikely at the moment so you can understand my pesimizm.

I don’t think that we can get anyone from Napoli because De Laurentiis will ask a lot of money for any of the players you have mentioned. Pocchetino also said that he counts on Lamela so even if we could get him, he would cost a lot of money that I doubt Inter would be able to pay. If Juve gets Mikhitaryan maybe we could get Cuadrado, he’ll probably leave Chelsea now that Pedro has arrived.
I’m still not sure is Ljajic good enough and I don’t even know what amount of money Roma would ask for him.

I confuse with your definition about mediocre player. Medel play as starter in his country and won coppa America. Hernanes also top player if he’s fully fit. Inter also sign good player such as Miranda and Murilio. Jovetic? Let’s just hope he’s always healthy. Kondogbia also TOP player. Handa also good player the only bad signing this summer is Montoya but that also low cost. Let’s just see first match against Atalanta .
