When Diego Costa left the pitch in the 35th minute in the second half and Neymar came on, Brazil captain Miranda gave Neymar the captain’s armband. The gesture was of course noted by Brazilian media and commented upon. Inter’s defender Miranda had this to say about this:
“Neymar is a leader in our national team. We need to give him the responsibilities a great player deserves. We talked about it in the dressing room, I knew that he was coming on and I told him that he deserved the armband.”

Neymar is a very important player for Brazil. He’s a striker…. But a leader? Bullshit.
what should he say!? neymar is not a leader!? i think he done the right thing there.. he try to keep the team in harmony.. because everyone know neymar is not a leader..
First line: ‘When Diego Costa left the pitch in the 35th minute in the second half and Neymar came on…’ Diego Costa? Really? I think that was Douglas Costa…
maybe it’s douglas costa, maybe the writer a bit tired 😀
maybe i’m not seeing it. it saddens me when coaches give captaincy to their star players instead of actual leader…
